A Little About  Me

My love for Maine Coons began when I was a little girl but I never had a Maine Coon... Let me explain...a local rescue labeled my kittens "Maine Coon Mix".  What did we know, we loved them just the same. But as I got older I found out that my kittens had not one ounce of Maine Coon in them but instead they were Long haired American Domestic. I do not believe it's a fault of Rescues but instead a lack of knowledge and frankly Maine Coons are desirable so I would understand the high demand to give rescued kittens and cats a new home quickly. . This happens countless times and I know this because of the weekly phone calls from my customers that have this same story.  It's frustrating, as you could imagine, believing something is so and then finding out it was not. Being a cat breeder I feel obligated to tell my story to customers and potential customers because I want you to know I've been there. Again, nothing bad about rescues for I have volunteered through out my life at numerous animal shelters and rescues and I thank them for giving me that opportunity to share my love of animals.

When I began raising my children I adopted a Purebred Border Collie which became my son's emotional Support animal while going through cancer treatment at the age of 3. Really, he became all of our emotional support. He was a remarkable dog (named Hachi). Before Hachi passed away, we adopted our first real Purebred Maine Coon! They were inseparable! It was like having 2 dogs. Really, it was cool! I got to see first hand that BOTH Maine Coon (Buster) and Hachi fetched! what?! I was amused!

So why did I become a cat breeder? Life had inundated me with many obstacles and things to keep me occupied. Why would I want to take on yet another challenging task? Well, I have 4 children and I love being a mom and wife. My husband and I decided that 4 is a good number. But I still had a desire to nurture a new beginning. So here I am, a Cat Doula if you will.  I help each one of my Queens deliver their babies. Some need more assistance than others. Hours upon hours are spent helping assist my queens give birth to healthy babies. I have assisted with the amniotic sac, placentas,  hard labors, tragic losses and everything in between. This job is not for the faint of heart although I would consider myself an empath, it does get to me.  But to me, this is where I belong.. Creating life... just not from my own body this time.  It is a bittersweet feeling. The joy of raising these kittens for other families outweighs the hardwork and sleepless nights.

I want to share my love of these “gentle giants” with you. I base my cattery in my home, where your kitten prepares for their new home underfoot and gets acclimated to people of all ages and sizes. I take the health and wellness of my kittens very seriously and am rigorous with the adoption process. I provide frequent contact, including pictures and video chats, until your new baby is ready to go home. Adopting a fur baby is a life-changing commitment, and I do my best to make the experience a wonderful one. Many of my kittens are adopted well before conception this is because I have my customers go on a reserve list with a deposit that promises your spot to choose. When my customers choose, I make the experience as personal as I can by sending pictures right from birth.

If you are interested in adopting a kitten, please contact me from the chat link below. There you will find the initial application.  I am excited to share my love of Maine Coons with you and look forward to hearing from you soon!
